Located near Tian An Men Square next to the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, this competition entry houses a 2,500 seat Opera House, a 2,000 seat Concert Hall, a 1,200 seat Theater, a 450 seat Mini Theater as well as other related ancillary support facilities.

The scheme attempts to create separate distinct identities of each venue and their public lobbies, linked together by the 20m tall central Grand Foyer which serves as the focal point of the scheme.

The architectural treatment of free-flowing curved roofs and highly transparent walls aim to maintain the spirit of the Chinese culture as well as to mark it as a building of the 21st century.
