OUR LADY OF MARYKNOLL HOSPITAL REDEVELOPMENT, Hong Kong

under construction

The project comprises the construction of a new hospital block after demolition of the existing North and East Wings of Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital and the refurbishment of the existing Outpatient Department (OPD) Block. Existing facilities are to be decanted to the OPD Block to facilitate demolition and re-construction of the new block. The new block will be a 12-storey hospital building with one basement carpark.

The construction floor area is about 49,000 s.m.

The level difference of Shatin Pass Road in west of site and Lung Fung Street in south of site is substantial of about 10m. There will be two vehicular drop-off areas. In order to facilitate the pedestrian access from both streets, two entrance lobbies are designed, which are connected by lifts and escalators. This will resolve the heavy pedestrian traffic among shroff, pharmacy, specialist out-patient department and community health centre. There will be 5 ward floors, each floor of 2 wards. Total of about 400 beds will be provided.

The redevelopment is under construction and will be completed by 2026.
