TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR NEW ACUTE HOSPITAL, Hong Kong

2017

To meet the long-term demand for healthcare services and facilities in Kowloon, the Government had reserved sites in the Kai Tak Development Area (KTDA) for a new acute hospital development. Wong & Ouyang was appointed by the Hospital Authority to carry out a Technical Feasibility Study as part of the 10-year Hospital Development Plan.

The site is facing the completed Hong Kong Children’s Hospital and comprises 5 hospital towers linked by podium with an estimated total CFA of about 480,000 s. m. The Study confirmed that the project was technically feasible and provided a framework for design development and project implementation.
