WHEELOCK HOUSE, Hong Kong

1984

Wheelock House, located on the other end of this stretch of Pedder Street abuts the corner with Des Voeux Road to assert its presence. The tower of Wheelock House is clad in a curtain wall of stainless steel mullions with clear glass vision panels and black tinted spandrels. Stainless steel vertical features at the four corners of the tower reinforce the rectilinear geometry.

MTR access points are provided within the sites of both Wheelock and Worldwide House at ground level. These lead to the basement concourse which acts as an underground pedestrian circulation level connecting a number of the key buildings in the central business district.
